Keep your eye on the pizza

April 21, 2012

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. New recipes soon.

In the meantime Teresa snapped this “action shot.” Tossing your dough like this is not only incredibly fun, but it’s also a good way to stretch the dough, and I’ve always imagined the girls are impressed when they see a guy do this.

My friend Martin Dupuis owns Little Italy Pizza in Brandon, Man., and he taught me how to do this. Just keep your fingers curled in and keep the dough on top of your second knuckles. And throw it so it spins in the air by circling one of your two hands around as you toss it.

Practice, then use your technique to wow bystanders and win influence among your friends.

Oh–and clearly, keep your eye on the dough.

And where did the pizza dough end up?! My pages have been blank for April as we’ve been on a road trip…way down to Morgan City, Louisiana. The seafood has been great, but I am definitely ready for home cooking!
